If you live in Florida, then you are super aware of the rainy season. When it rains, IT RAINS. But then stops. Then starts again.

Over the years I’ve learned that its very possible to get an hours worth of images done within a 20-30 minute time frame IF you are efficient.

I don’t know how many times I have canceled sessions and regretted it immediately because I didn’t check a weather radar one night before or the day of.

Canceling sessions two before a session is kinda shooting yourself in camera lens.

Wait til the day of the session and check the weather radar and make sure that you know exactly when and where the rain is coming. And when in doubt, change the time. Its so hard sometimes to rebook when you both have limited availability and you do NOT want to lose a client.

Luckily with this couple, Jaclyn and Thomas, they were super flexible and we waited almost two hours after our original time to start our session.

We had overcast weather which made it easier to shoot in the early afternoon anywhere we liked and not have to worry to much about shade. So we were actually able to make great timing and get more of a variety for this session.

Its always these kind of shoots that bring out your creativity and end up surprising you!
